Funding

Hogar Tierra Santa is totally dependent on funds from outside the country. Tierra Santa receives no support from the Honduran government and most people in Honduras are too poor to contribute to a charity of this nature.

Funding is always being sought to pay for necessities, and for example, to pay salaries for special needs teachers, a social worker, as well as to improve the presently very high ratio of children to staff.

Many dedicated people, volunteers, and sponsors have been involved with Tierra Santa for years. This continuing support speaks clearly to the integrity of Hogar Tierra Santa.

As the economy continues to worsen, as food and fuel costs rise, we know more children will be left on our doorstep. Honduras has already experienced an 83% increase in the cost of flour alone this year. We truly need your help!

In the past we said we could feed our children for a meger 37 cents per meal. But even that amount was only accomplished by watching every penny we spent. Imagine for a minute how you would spend only that amount for a meal for your family.

The money for one latte or one gallon of gas would feed many children at the hogar. Please consider making a donation to Tierra Santa. There is no overhead and 100% of your donation goes to help the children at Hogar Tierra Santa.

TSSI actively seeks donations in order to provide monthly monetary support to Tierra Santa. It also provides guidance as part of the management structure for Tierra Santa and direct mission work at Tierra Santa.
